Jeff Irwin Music

"Music is my first language" says Jeff Irwin from the piano. He has been living with pianos for over 55 years - entertaining folks up and down the East Coast and enjoying jam sessions with family and friends. He is one of those rare family folks who found his true vocation a long time ago and his love of music is a continuing witness to the fact.

Jeff's music influences include the many artists who have graced the music scene throughout history. He plays the "standards" by composers such as Gershwin, Kern, Porter, Ellington, and many modern "standards" as well. The style is what he calls "jazz" where he improvises by reflecting his feelings of the moment in his melodic and harmonic improvisation. He never strays too far from the melody, always keeping it close in creating his magical music interlude. He loves jam sessions and encourages young musicians to play by inviting them to sit in.

Jeff resides in Lewes, Delaware with his wife, Den

While traveling with his daughter, Jennifer, he was able to sit at the piano in an Xi'an, China Five-Star hotel just off the lobby and entertained.

No matter where Jeff travels he is never far from sitting in on a session with fellow musicians. Check out this series of photos of him at the keyboard in the Caribbean. The song title is Under The Radar, music, words and played by Jeff and friends. It is about a sailing trip in the islands with some country folks.
